This research environment is researching people's health and living conditions, about the health-seeking persons and the related persons' experiences of health, illness and care.
When it comes to research on learning, the focus is on the development of student, vocational and patient learning. How practical and theoretical knowledge can be combined into a composite competence is studied within the framework of various careers professionals' education.
The research has a strong connection to the surrounding society and reflects the University West's profile Work-Integrated Learning (WIL). The critical perspective is emphasized in order to be able to promote a health-promoting, equal and sustainable care. The healthcare research environment collects research on health and social care, both in institutional settings and in the home.
