Advanced Materials Science, 6 hp
Intended Audience
This course is suitable for graduate students with science, applied science, engineering or related degrees interested in pursuing a career in development or exploitation of materials and manufacturing; graduates currently working in industry keen to extend their qualifications; or individuals with other qualifications who possess considerable relevant experience. The course is developed to meet the needs of industry and have a strong input from experts in their sector with an advisory panel from well-known companies such as GKN Aerospace, ESAB and Volvo Cars. Metallic materials within the groups of steels, titanium, superalloys and aluminium will be of special emphasize.FACTS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Degree of Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent. The Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a at least 7.5 HE credits of materials science and at least 15 credits of mathematics including basic knowledge of analysis, linear algebra and statistics. In addition, verified knowledge of English corresponding to the course English B, English 6 in the Swedish high school or equivalent.
