Logic Control Engineering, 2.5 credits
The course aims to provide insight into how industrial control systems are used and programmed an automatic machine. In the course PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is used and the industrial programming standard IEC61131-3 is followed.
In the course, you will also learn the basic logical control and logical expressions and how these are used to control machines. We create programs that are loaded into a PLC and tested against physical machines in the laboratory. The lab experiments are developed to learn the above-mentioned objectives.
SDT200 has the following modules.
1. Lectures of IEC61131-3 Programming standard, PLC Programming techniques, arithmetic and Boolean algebra.
