Quality and environmental management, 5 hp
The focus of the course is to deliver knowledge and concept of quality and environmental management and related methods and tools to control, improve and ensure the quality of products.
Special emphasis is placed on obtaining knowledge of different quality tools. The seven improvement tools are central to driving effective quality work, as well as tools and statistical methods to understand variations of the concept, such as statistical process control and skill studies are important methods. With regard to quality management, ISO 9000 will be introduced to students.
Students are also given insight into sustainability in industrial manufacturing. Relevant ISO standards, e.g. ISO 14000, will be introduced to students.
