Sustainable Finance, 7.5 hp
The financial sector is the key to a sustainable future. While traditional finance focuses solely on financial return and risk, sustainable finance considers financial, social, and environmental returns in combination. This course combines theory, empirical analyses, and policy to explain the sustainability challenges for corporate investment. It explains how finance can steer resources to certain companies and projects without sacrificing return and thus speed up the realization of the 2030 Agenda and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.
