Strategic Career Planning in PhD Education via Work-Integrated Learning, 5 hp
The interdisciplinary course, provides PhD students with knowledge and competence to promote their own strategic career planning through the span of working life, to promote skills of career planning related to work inside and outside of academia, and in innovative entrepreneurship. Those skills are essential in learning how to handle career transitions and matching of skills in the current changes in the academic labour market. Both core concepts and emergent views on WIL in PhD education and how WIL can promote career transitions and employability will be explored during the course.
An interactive pedagogical approach is applied.
The course is given in English and runs online part-time week 36-42.
- Week 37: one online seminar day 10 September
- Week 39: two hybrid/on-campus days at University West Trollhättan 25-26 September
- Week 42: one online seminar day 17 October (examination seminar)
