Olivia Serbin

As a PhD student in work integrated learning, I am dedicated to exploring the intersection of education and technology. My research project, "Digital Technology in Teaching: How University Teachers Reconstructed Professional Knowledge and Practice During the COVID-19 Pandemic," aims to understand the impact of digital technology on the professional practice of university teachers. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how the pandemic has influenced the development of teaching strategies, the adoption of digital tools and platforms, and the evolution of professional networks and collaborations.

In addition to examining the positive impact of digital technology on teaching, I am also investigating the challenges it can introduce. Furthermore, I am exploring the cases where personal presence and physical space are essential for teaching, despite the increased use of technology.
